Each shepherd Huts create a wonderful sense of space and yet coziness within a secluded romantic cabin overlooking the River Teign and sweeping lush green pastures of  the surrounding countryside  .. The huts are a walk away from the sandy beaches of Teignmouth and a train ride from the historic city of Exeter . Each Hideaway is set amidst a private copse of whispering beech trees with breathtaking, panoramic views.

Because of  the location of the nearby coastline and the way the sands have formed, it’s perfect for a number of water sports including sailing, fishing, swimming, canoeing and rowing, but bear in mind that
a lot of the local beach's  are not patrolled by lifeguards. At high tide, huge container ships enter the narrow estuary mouth to dock at the Port of Teignmouth - or watch the local rowers compete against each

Shaldon beach is a gently sloping mix of sand and shingle that levels out at the river estuary. It’s a popular beach during the summer, but if you fancy a quieter time its sheltered position makes it a great destination during the off-peak season too.

Shaldon beach is where you’ll find some of the most spectacular coastline in South Devon.

If you don't fancy cooking there are plenty of wonderful restaurants , and good quality pubs for Sunday lunch ... for everything else there is our Cellar menu ... with a choice of locally made food to tempt you throughout your stay.
